More Readers. More Impact. Together.™
Every book begins with one author, but no author builds visibility alone.
Behind every book that finds its readers are people who recommend it, review it, talk about it, share it, give it as a gift, invite the author to speak, make an introduction, or simply say to someone else, “You need to read this.”
That belief is at the heart of The Author Collab.
The Author Collab was created as a place where authors can connect, collaborate, learn from one another, increase their visibility, and discover new ways to get their books into the hands of more readers. It is also a place for readers to discover authors and books they might never encounter otherwise.
Because great books deserve to be discovered.
And authors shouldn't have to build their visibility alone.
“Every book begins with one author, but no author builds visibility alone.”
Why The Author Collab?
Publishing a book is an extraordinary accomplishment. But publishing is only the beginning.
Once the book is available, another question quickly follows:
How do I help the right readers find it?
There is no single answer.
Visibility may begin with a book review. An award. A podcast interview. An article. A speaking engagement. A bookstore relationship. A collaboration. A social media conversation. A reader recommendation. Or one enthusiastic person who becomes a champion for your work.
Often, one opportunity creates another.
That's why The Author Collab isn't built around one marketing tactic. It's about helping authors recognize and create the many opportunities that can move a book—and an author's message—farther.
AUTHOR → CONNECTION → COLLABORATION → VISIBILITY → READERS → IMPACT
Collaboration Changes Everything
The word Collab is intentional.
Authors are sometimes encouraged to think of other authors as competition. I believe the opposite.
When authors support one another, everyone has the potential to reach farther.
We can introduce one another to readers. Share resources. Exchange ideas. Recommend opportunities. Celebrate successes. Review books. Make introductions. Collaborate on events. Share lessons we've learned—sometimes the hard way—and help another author avoid the same mistake.
One author's audience may become another author's next group of readers.
One introduction may lead to an interview.
One recommendation may lead to a speaking engagement.
One shared idea may completely change another author's marketing strategy.
That's the power of collaboration.
We don't have to divide the audience. We can expand it.

What You'll Find Here
The Author Collab is designed to become a growing library of ideas, resources, opportunities, and inspiration for authors at every stage of the journey.
You'll find practical articles about book marketing, visibility, reviews, endorsements, awards, media opportunities, speaking, bookstore promotion, reader engagement, and the business of being an author.
You'll also find downloadable resources, checklists, guides, templates, and tools created to help authors spend less time wondering what do I do next? and more time taking meaningful action.
But The Author Collab isn't only about how-to information.
It's also about stories.
We'll introduce you to authors, explore the journeys behind their books, celebrate creative approaches to visibility, share lessons from real-world experiences, and look at what successful writers are doing that the rest of us can learn from.
Through features such as Off the Page, we'll explore the experiences, decisions, challenges, and unexpected moments behind an author's journey.
And in Beyond the Spotlight, we'll look at the literary lives of people the world may know for something entirely different—actors, musicians, athletes, entrepreneurs, public figures, and cultural icons who also discovered the power of the written word.
Because sometimes understanding how another person did it gives us the courage—or the idea—to try something ourselves.
Book Blasts: Collaboration in Action
The Author Collab's Book Blasts bring the philosophy of collaboration to life.
Participating authors join together to introduce their books to one another's audiences, encourage reader discovery, increase visibility, and create promotional momentum that would be difficult for one author to generate alone.
Instead of asking:
“How many people can I reach?”
we begin asking:
“How many people can we reach together?”
That small shift in thinking can create a very different result.
From Readers to Champions
One of the philosophies you'll see throughout The Author Collab is something I have taught for years:
Don't simply collect fans. Cultivate champions.
A fan enjoys what you do.
A champion talks about you when you're not in the room...
Don't collect fans. Cultivate champions.™
For authors, champions are invaluable. They are the readers who recommend your book, write thoughtful reviews, purchase additional copies as gifts, introduce you to organizations, share your work with their communities, and sometimes create opportunities you never could have created for yourself.
The Author Collab is about helping authors find readers—but also about helping authors understand how genuine relationships can turn some of those readers into lifelong champions.
Visibility Is More Than Being Seen
Visibility isn't about being everywhere.
It's about being discoverable in the places that matter.
The right article can introduce you to a new audience.
The right podcast can establish your expertise.
The right award can add credibility.
The right speaking engagement can put hundreds of potential readers in front of you.
The right relationship can open a door you didn't even know existed.
And sometimes one small opportunity becomes the first domino in an extraordinary chain of events.
The visible author learns to recognize those opportunities—and then makes the most of them.
For Readers, Too
Authors may create the books, but readers give those books life.
The Author Collab is also an invitation to readers who enjoy discovering new voices, exploring different genres, meeting the people behind the books, and supporting authors whose work deserves a wider audience.
You may arrive because of one article or one book and leave having discovered three authors you'd never heard of before.
We hope you do.
Because discovery is part of the fun.
And somewhere on these pages may be the next book you can't stop recommending to everyone you know.

Heidi Richards Mooney, known as The Word Architect™, is an author, publisher, entrepreneur, speaker, and longtime advocate for helping others increase their visibility and impact.
For decades, Heidi has created communities, publications, events, and platforms designed to connect people, showcase their expertise, and create opportunities for collaboration. Her philosophy has always been rooted in relationships: promote others, make introductions, share what you know, celebrate people's successes, and create opportunities where everyone has the potential to win.
As an author herself, she understands that writing the book is only one part of the journey.
Helping that book find its readers is another.
The Author Collab brings those worlds together—publishing, marketing, visibility, relationship-building, community, and collaboration—in one place where authors can learn from one another and readers can discover voices worth knowing.
An Invitation to Collaborate
Your Story Belongs Here, Too.
The Author Collab isn't simply about reading what other authors are doing. It's about becoming part of a community where authors share ideas, support one another, discover opportunities, and help good books find more readers.
If you're an author looking for meaningful ways to increase your visibility, connect with other writers, participate in collaborative promotions, and share your experience with our growing community, we'd love to learn more about you.
If you're an author, we invite you to explore the resources, share your experiences, discover new opportunities, and connect with other writers.
If you're a reader, we invite you to meet the authors, explore their books, and perhaps become a champion for the ones that speak to you.
If you have an idea, lesson, resource, success story, collaboration opportunity, or experience that could help another author, we want to hear about that too.
Because The Author Collab isn't meant to be a one-way conversation.
It's a community built around a simple idea:
When we share what we know, introduce people to one another, celebrate great work, and help good books find their readers, everyone has the opportunity to move forward.
